About Me:
Hello, my name is Andrew Roy, I’m a junior at Texas Tech University pursuing a Bachelor's in Marketing and a Certificate in Energy while maintaining a 3.7 GPA. I grew up in Houston, Texas, and bring a competitive, hard-working mindset shaped by my love for football, baseball, and basketball. I’m an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, where I served as the Community Service Chair and lead philanthropic events, volunteer initiatives, and fundraising efforts that support organizations like Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Huntsman Cancer Research.
Professionally, I’ve gained hands-on marketing and leadership experience through roles that challenge me to connect with people and think strategically. As a Brand Ambassador for Advantage Solutions, I engage with hundreds of consumers at events, helping increase brand awareness and driving trial-to-purchase conversion rates through interactive sampling activations. My experience at the Texas Tech Recreation Center strengthened my decision-making and communication skills while officiating fast-paced intramural sports. Before that, I spent three summers as a Camp Counselor at Camp Cho-Yeh, where I led activities, supported youth development, and created a positive, team-focused environment.
I’m passionate about marketing because it brings together creativity, strategy, and meaningful connection — the same qualities I value in the classroom, on the court playing pickup with friends, and in every leadership opportunity I take on. With certifications in Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, and Google Analytics, and more, I’m committed to continuously learning and expanding the tools I bring to a marketing team.
